We gauge our successes on how many toys we have in our garages. What kind of cares we drive. We might as well wear a tag on how much debt we have. This is the success we are led to believe.
Success in the past was measured by the quality of friends you had. Where you helped friends in need never expecting anything in return. You could call a friend to for help and not having the feeling of putting someone on the spot. How we changed. Are we really that selfish. I think not. I think men are giving. If we can start measuring our success on how many people we helped out this year. To me, that is worth more than gold!
