Searching For What You Already Are

Life has many challenges, sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down. Life, It is a ride. A ride that is similar to everyone in this country. We all have the same liberties here in the US. What we don’t realize is that we are all being manipulated in to thinking the same thoughts, brought to us by mass media. I often wonder why I always make the same mistakes. Why I drink even if I don’t want to. Why because somehow our subconscious thoughts are being programmed to wanting a better house, having the nicest boat, having the nicest camper, having the best job, having a nice car. We want a fairytale life. I never read a book in my life until almost a year ago. Information that you put into your mind takes you out of the media circuit that programs us, programs our subconscious minds.
I have read so far 10 books in 8 months. I stopped watching the news every night. Since then, I haven’t argued with my wife, I haven’t spanked my kids, or haven’t wanted to murder half the people that drive the 91 freeway. I am a happy loving person. My next step is to eliminate fear out of my life that is unwarranted. This fear keeps me drinking at every function I go to. Hey do you want a drink, no, oh, you’re too good to drink with a buddy? Or oh, you’re one of those Jesus freaks? Or yeah buddy, what you say is what you get. I’m afraid of being thought of as one of any of these things. I am so afraid that someone might tell me that my wife wears the pants in the family because I don’t want to drink. How many times have anyone been afraid or got upset when someone told you that? Fear plays a huge role in the manipulation process.
The media tells us what we want to hear not what we need to know. Our whole lives we look to figure out what we want to be, instead of what we already are. (Richard Alpert) a lot of times I tell myself that I am my worst enemy, I feel at war with myself every day. Richard also says that a world at war within its self is doomed!
