Great Ambitions for 2010

I have great ambitions for 2010 . I learned so much about myself in 2009. I grew more and learned more this past year more than any other year that I have been alive. I have come to realize that my now is very powerful and if not controlled I can lose everything, but in the same sense, I can gain everything I have ever wanted. I must live in the present, plan for the future and leave the past in the past. It is great to look back at what you have accomplished and see where you have been, but never relive past failures or base your life on what you have always done, because it is a trap, a vicious loop and before you know it, its ten years later.

The Passing Year

The new year brings a great opportunity to make your life better. You consciously see what you don't like about your life and you can leave your old habits and everything you don't want in the passing year. It is like taking out the trash. Most people focus on what they want out of the new year. What they are going to change about themselves. they do not realize that before you can change your ways you have to leave them behind. empty your closet, clear out your garage, dump your garbage. With that, you'll have a clean slate to create a new you in the New year.

What makes people great?

Many people have far exceeded greatness while others struggle or maintain the status quo. In sports, it is easy to see great talent achieve greatness and in business people also tend to be great by simply owning their own successful business. But what gets them to that level. I have come to believe it is their ability to focus on what is going on now. The here and now is so powerful, you can be the very best you can be. You can be the person you are, not what everyone thinks you are. We tend to rush through our day but the joy of life is your work and if you get no joy from what you do, then you have the ability to change it. Right now is the most important time of your life. You decide, that’s your power. The next time you’re at the mall, stop and watch people for a minute. See how upset the people who are in a rush are and look how peaceful others are enjoying the now. Don’t be in such a hurry to die, do something great today, even if you are the only one that knows.

What is the wake?

What is the wake? It is the trail you leave behind. Who is driving the boat? What makes life go in this direction? At this present moment, energy is being generated by the engine and nothing more. Is it possible for the wake to drive the boat? Can a trail that has been left behind drive the boat? Get out of the wake. It’s an illusion.

Traditions or Senses

As we enter another holiday season, I can feel a real sense of amazement watching my kids do the same exact things I had done when I was their age. It makes me think if my dad acted the same way and if his father and so on. It reminds me of some show I watched about the Mayan people. Their traditions were past down from generation to generation. It makes me think if we are born with these traditions or senses like the birds that migrate South for the winter or life on the Serengeti . if this is true, what else can be past down or what else were we born with?
We were born from a tiny cell into a living being we must have been born with an imprint of data stored somewhere in our brains to give us knowledge, advice, and warnings.
When danger is present in our lives you can feel changes in our bodies, a sense of fear consumes every thought in our consciousness. This was a tool that early man needed. Today, we use it more as an excuse to avoid doing things we don’t want to do.
Often, I ask myself what should I do in situations that I have no idea what I should do. Somehow the answers pop into my head like some kind of genius. I am amazed every time. I am far from a genius more like a nut case; I guess that is why I ask myself questions. I find that I can figure out problems or find solutions just by asking myself. Somehow it comes to me or someone is put into my path that can help me.
The biggest resource that we are given is the knowledge that is past down to us from birth. Right now, at the age of 38, I can feel mass amounts of knowledge opening up inside my head. If we are all the same and we were all made in the image of God, we should have the ability to have knowledge that would make our lives exactly the way we want them.
